Recently, we had the privilege of working on a truly heartwarming project: a sweet Christmas gift from a gentleman to a dear friend. This friend is a devoted mother to two daughters, and he wanted to surprise all three of them with a coordinated, yet uniquely personalized, holiday gift. The result? A trio of spectacular 14k gold custom birthstone pendants.
For the Mother: The October Glow of Opal
To honor the mother, we designed a piece that exudes elegance and fluid motion. We crafted a sweeping 14k white gold bail lined with natural round brilliant diamond pave. The diamond-lined curve gently cradles a mesmerizing, triangle-shaped prong-set opal. The brilliant diamonds perfectly enhance the fiery, iridescent flashes of color that make opals so highly prized, resulting in a breathtaking centerpiece for the matriarch of the family.
For the Daughters: Sapphire and Peridot
To celebrate her two daughters, the client selected gemstones that perfectly matched their individual spirits and birth months.
The Blue Cascade: For one daughter, we created a stunning cool-toned design. Set in 14k white gold, this pendant features a rich, prong-set blue sapphire at its base. Following the elegant, twisting metal upward, we incorporated a sparkling natural round brilliant diamond and a crisp, light blue aquamarine stone.
The Golden Sun: For the other daughter, the design shifted to warm, radiant hues (pomelli_photoshoot-1_7.png). We chose rich 14k yellow gold to complement the bright, spring-green tones of a prong-set peridot. To give it a modern touch, we accented the top of the sculptural pendant with a natural round brilliant diamond secured in a sleek bezel setting.
