There is nothing added, nothing hidden, nowhere for poor craft to hide in a plain band. It demands that every decision be right: the exact width for the hand it is made for, the profile that sits correctly against the knuckle, the weight that registers as presence rather than burden, the finish that suits the man who will wear it daily for the rest of his life. Our classic plain bands are built in solid gold — yellow, white, and rose — as well as platinum and palladium, in profiles ranging from the time-tested round court to a flat-edged knife-band. There is no simpler commission and no more exacting one. When a ring has only its form to offer, that form must be perfect.
