Creating a fluid, organic bypass design requires precision craftsmanship at every stage:
1. The Conceptual Blueprint: Every custom project begins with structure. As captured in our design blueprint, we mapped out a dramatic bypass curve for the engagement ring and designed a matching 'D-line' contour band to nest seamlessly beneath it.
2. Precision Wax Modeling: Using specialized carving wax, our master jewelers carved the fluid shank profiles in green wax and modeled the 6-prong marquise setting in pink wax. This allows us to test the exact fit of the two interlocking rings before melting a single grain of gold.
3. Investment Casting: Once the wax models are approved, they are mounted on a casting tree and prepared for lost-wax casting in solid 14k gold.
4. Setting & Polishing: After casting, the engagement ring's white gold head is set with a brilliant marquise diamond, and both bands are hand-polished to a mirror finish.
