The Golden Anchor

“A good friend of mine, Eric, was on his friend and business partner, Robert’s, yacht sailing past the Maritime Museum in San Diego when they noticed a battleship’s anchor was painted gold. Robert explained that it’s a tradition to paint the anchor gold when a ship is retired. Knowing Robert loved sailing and was retiring in 2023, the idea was born. A golden anchor for a retirement gift. I was commissioned mid 2022 to do the work. What you see here is the result: a stunning desk top sculpture 3“ x 2 1/2“ 14k yellow gold anchor with 7 inch chain weighing over 3 ounces. A truly one-of-a- kind gift for a beloved friend and partner.”
